Writing Challenges

It's time to stop being an ass and start being inspired again. Herein is a list of prompts and challenges I set forth for myself and whoever wishes to partake in these activities. I'll post a series of missions and lose deadlines to try get the ball moving.

Challenge One
Your mission should you choose to accept it is to take the age old formula "Once upon a time" and "Happily (n)ever after" and weave it into a story as simple or complex as you desire. Target goal should be 500-1000 words, more or less are acceptable as long as the idea is complete. Deadline: July 30th.

Challenge Two
Your mission should you choose to accept it is to take a song and tell a story with the emotions it presents. Target goal should be 500-1000 words, more or less are acceptable as long as the idea is complete. Songfics are optional. Deadline: July 30th. Examples here and here

Challenge Three
Your mission should you choose to accept it is to do some open plotting of your active ideas and pick something. And go with it. Outline. Summarize. Character build. Character create. who are you kidding, mellie? you're going to work on glory/echo because you love that character and that world. Deadline: Have something to show by June 30th. Move towards actuality by July 30th. Write snippets as able.
